In this shot of the top of the underfloor we can see the boat prow architecture of the bottom leading edge of the tub. This highlights the raised footbox nature of the LMR. |
The very heavy ballast plate. The LMR was very much underweight. So much so that a large piece of ballast was placed strategically in the bottom of the floor. |
The strakes within the diffuser section keeps flows of differing relative pressure from mixing. The diffuser is to the maximum width allowed by the rules. |
