Despite having a 16-game winning streak snapped, Lubbock Christian (Texas) is No. 1 for the sixth straight week, according to the eighth edition of the 2009 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll (April 28). The Chaps snatched all 22 of the possible first-place votes and stand with 622 total points. The six week stretch of No. 1 is the longest streak for any team since Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) was No. 1 for 25 straight polls spanning the 2006-08 seasons.

The Nationals were victorious 24-10 over the Americans in the Third Annual College Fanz/Victory Sports Network NAIA "Senior Classic," played yesterday (April 25) from Platte County R3 High School's Pirate Stadium in Platte City, Mo. Players ranged from 50 different NAIA schools from states across the country.
