HOOVER INSTITUTION KORET TASK FORCE ON K–12 EDUCATION
The Task Force on K–12 Education is a top-rate team of education experts brought together by the Hoover Institution, with the support of the Koret Foundation, to work on education reform. The primary objectives of the task force are to gather, evaluate, and disseminate existing evidence in an analytical context, and analyze reform measures that will enhance the quality and productivity of K–12 education.
Chester E. Finn, Jr. serves as chair of the Task Force on K–12 education.

Learning from No Child Left Behind: How and Why the Nation's Most Important but Controversial Education Law Should Be Renewed by John Chubb
Members of the K-12 Education Task Force just released a report containing ten recommendations to be included in the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind. Their findings are available in the newly released, Learning from No Child Left Behind, published by Education Next Books and available from the Hoover Press. The book gives a broad overview of the current NCLB legislation and evaluates its success and progress in transforming k-12 education.

K–12 Education Task Force Meeting
The Task Force on K–12 Education held their biannual meeting at Hoover, where they discussed topics such as NCLB reauthorization and TIMSS testing. On Thursday evening, there was a dinner event held in conjunction with the meeting, where members of the task force spoke on the education agenda of the Obama administration.
