Lt. General Larry Dodgen
Larry J. Dodgen is sector vice president and deputy general manager of the Missile Defense Division within Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector. In this role, Mr. Dodgen assists in providing executive leadership, developing key markets, over-seeing program performance and integrating operational objectives to meet the division’s financial, supplemental and growth goals.

Mr. Dodgen joined Northrop Grumman as vice president of strategy for the missile systems business area in April 2007 after serving more than 34 years in the U.S. Army. In this role, Mr. Dodgen was responsible for expanding Northrop Grumman’s offensive and defensive missile systems business. He continues to lead the company’s cross-sector Missile Defense Integration Group, an essential function necessary for the coordination of the company’s aggressive missile defense growth strategies.

Before joining Northrop Grumman, Dodgen served as the commander of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command.

Previous assignments include deputy assistant secretary of defense for policy and missions and director of the Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense Organization. He was the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command.

Born in New Orleans, La., General Dodgen graduated from Louisiana State University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in public administration from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in national security and strategy from the United States Naval War College. His military education includes the Air Defense Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Naval War College.
