Bigger BigPoll?

Google goes Eurovision

Google, the worlds number one website and search engine has launched a Eurovision 2009 Forcaster. As the largest and most visited independent fansite, esctoday.com more than welcomes a challenge to the BigPoll and will compare the results. Until the final, that won't be possible because the Google poll only allows you to predict the winner of the final! You can see the Google results here:

As with the esctoday.com BigPOll, predictions are arranged into geographic locations and points awarded from 1-8, 10 and 12 as with the Eurovision Song Contest voting. The google foecaster bases the results on search data to determine the popularity of each entrant.

You can also discuss your favourites and watch all of our interviews, official rehearsal videos and much more in our new chat room by clicking on the link at the top of the site or going here.

Hmmmm! I believe that the results, from now on, will NOT be as accurate as one would expect ...
Immediately after this article was published, it somehow became an ... INFLUENCED challenge!?!! ;)

One thing is for sure ... there will be boosted profits for already No. 1 GOOGLE! ;) Hopefully, esctoday.com will get something out of this ... "joint venture"!

hehheeee...Hadise is number one everywhere :) :) :)

hadise is one of the most popular esc singers since 00's.. it was obvious.. from turkey's side , hadise is the most supported singer since ajda pekkan 1980..

Hadise is rubbish. DOesn't Turkey realise that people are bored of this music style now haveing heard it in Eurovision every year for the last 10 years?

I really can't understand how this dull and clichéd song like Hadise's dum tek tek can be so popular! The song makes me want to change the channel it is so booooooooring!

Hadise is good,i like her but i won't vote for her either

I don't think the Google poll is accurate. I've searched for songs I don't actually like just out of curiosity. I've watched Hadise's rehearsals on YouTube just to see if she really can't sing, but I wouldn't vote for her.

nice results

Ukraine is 5th, it can be first on the final and is climbing up on bets

Denmark also has a chance for 1st place, even Sweden

If these were the real results, it would be horribly disappointing all of them except Norway...

WOW. Hadise has now the first place. Turks may be using google like crazy :D

As I stated previously, I don't trust much the results of Google forecaster.
And the reason is very simple: in my opinion, escfans usually use youtube, and not google, to search for their favourites songs.

This poll does not mean anything. Wait for the live perfromance.

Nice song but the dancing puts me off sorry :(

It's looking really great for Greece's (L) S A K I S (L)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you all know that Google is the combination of two words:
GO OGLE (=to stare at impertinently, flirtatiously, or amorously)?

Not only can Sakis (L) Rouvas SING as well as DANCE energetically, he is undoubtedly a hot, sexy male and definitely sweet ...EYE CANDY to look at ... ;)

"...FLY to the TOP, baby!" ;)
