Asia
Many of the transitions in Asia remain contested, with the people responsible for human rights abuses retaining considerable power and influence. Several Asian countries have vibrant civil society movements seeking justice, truth and reparations. ICTJ has helped them build capacity, while also assisting carefully chosen government initiatives. ICTJ has two Asian offices, in Jakarta and Kathmandu and conducts work in Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, the Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste.
