JEFFERSON CITY | State Rep. Cynthia Davis was derided on a cable news show for the second time this week.

Check the video here (sorry we're not hosting the clip ourselves -- MSNBC's web coding makes our site go loopy) of Keith Olbermann, host of Countdown on MSNBC, naming Davis, an O'Fallon Republican, the "World's Worst Person" for a second time.

Also on Wednesday, House Democrats looked to score a political point off the flap. The letter was sent before Olbermann's second rant was aired.

In a letter to House Speaker Ron Richard, Minority Leader Paul LeVota requested Davis be removed as chairwoman of the Children and Families Committee.

Richard is a Joplin Republican. LeVota, a Democrat, represents Independence.

Calling her views on child hunger "Dickensian," LeVota said it was "highly inappropriate" for Davis to lead a committee concerning child and family issues. Her continued leadership on the committee amounts to "an endorsement of her offensive views by you and the House Republican Caucus," LeVota wrote to Richard.
