Scrapbook Redesign

This week, I am starting a new monthly feature on About.com Scrapbooking called, "Scrapbook Redesign." Starting today, each month I will request that scrapbookers email me a photo of a scrapbook page that they aren't happy with, or that just needs a little something. I will choose one of those layouts every month and have that person mail me the actual layout with permission to make changes, additions, reprint and crop photos, etc. I will show the before and after in a monthly column and then mail the finished layout back to her/him along with a small goodie for participating.

If your layout is selected for that month, I will email you the details about how to mail in the page and a release. Photos not selected for that month, will be kept on file and may be selected in upcoming months.

Would you be able to tell me how to take a digatal photo of my 12×12 page? I’ve tried it a few times but come out with photos that are too small or very fuzzy.
Great question! I have the perfect article for you to look at. The most important things – as with any photos – are lighting and angle. Be sure to read Rebecca’s Tips for Taking a Photo of Your Layout. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. I can’t wait to see your layout.
What a terrific idea! I have been getting your scrapbooking emails for a long time now and this one really caught my eye. I am new to scrap booking, although I have bought all the supplies, papers, stickers and so on, I have yet to find the time and to sit down and start the whole process. This is a great idea and I am going to bookmark this page so in the future I have this resource if I need it.
Ohooo I love this idea. I will be sending you a pic of a layout that I have been unhappy with and have tried to fix it time and time again.
Does it matter how old it is?
I have one I did when I first started out that I’ve always hated, but the pictures are beautiful. I’ve cropped them into ovals, though.
What a great idea and so nice of you to be able to do this.. I am new at scrapbooking and live in such a rural area that there is not much in the way of classes. I cannot wait to see and maybe have one of mine looked at.

this is great! whenever I am unhappy with a layout the only person I can ask for input is my boyfriend… and he is not very helpful.
