3-23-2002Wow, has it been over
a year since I updated the Tyrian site?
Well, being sick and poking into all
sorts of odd things these past few weeks
has gotten me around to doing a bunch of
things I've been meaning to.
First off,
while it's old news, we're doing Tyrian
Gameboy Advance. That's nearly done,
actually, and Symmetry is trying hard to
sell it to a publisher right now.
In addition,
the World Tree site (that's us) has been
moved to www.world-tree.150m.com and updated somewhat.
And finally,
in a bizarre little twist, I invite you
to download the Tyrian Automated
Weapon Designer Tyrian Automated
Weapon Designer. Yes, I'm fiddling with
Visual Basic for no reason!

Tyrian Gameboy
is coming along quite well. While
I'm waiting for one particular piece of
code, I've been optimizing the heck out
of the game and adding everything I can
cram into it. It's really
exciting! Still can't post anything
specific, unfortunately.

By the way,
we're now known as World Tree
Games. Check out our site here for more details.

A newer version
of the SBLive patch should be released
soon if not already from Stealth. I
fixed a crashing bug involving the third
boss in Episode 3 as well as a possible
small text error with the cheat message.

Back from E3!
Yes, I was there, occasionally saying
'hi' to the Tyrian fans that happened by
at the Stealth booth. One particularly
'lucky' reviewer got an autographed copy
of the game. :)
Anyway,
Tyrian 2000 and Tyrian Gameboy were there
at the amusing Stealth booth. First time
I've seen one of my games at E3, oddly
enough.

It has been a
while since I last updated the Tyrian
site, but we've definitely been quite
busy with it. :).
Tyrian
Gameboy - This is a faithful release of
Tyrian ported over to the Gameboy (as I,
the original Tyrian programmer, is doing
it). In some ways there's more content
than the PC version, and in some ways
less, but it's a vastly different
platform to develop for and I'd like to
pack as much into the Tyrian GBC version
as possible. Right now it looks like
we'll have 30fps with no slowdown -
currently the game is in alpha.
Tyrian 2000 -
Yes, that's out and it's starting to hit
store shelves. Stealth has recently released
a version of the updated SoundBlaster
Live~ patch which should make the sound
work for us fortunate users with one.
