If you're a regular Rotten Tomatoes visitor, you can see that we've made some changes. If you've never been to our site before, you may be wondering what it has to offer. The following is a tour to help you get around. |
||
The "Movies" section covers current and upcoming theatrical releases. In addition to listings of current and upcoming movies, you can also find Box Office charts, movie trailers, and photos in this section. We have expanded our video|DVD database to cover over 87,000 titles and 170,000 reviews. In addition to listing current and upcoming video|DVD releases, you can also find which video was the top renter last week by clicking on Top Rental in this section. With over 87,000 titles in our database, you can almost always find reviews for the titles you're looking for. If you're looking for information on a specific movie, click on its title, and you'll get to our Movie Packages section. Each movie has a "Reviews" page aggregating reviews published by the nation's movie critics, of course including the Tomatometer that shows critical consensus at a glance. Also included on each Movie Package are cast&crew; info, production notes, a multimedia section (with trailer links, flipbooks, and stills), and a forum to discuss the film. This is also the area where you can buy the movie poster and compare prices on other movie-related items (DVD, Soundtrack). On the "Reviews" page of each Movie Package, you can access a critic's reviewing history and bio by clicking on his/her name. On the "Cast&Crew;" page of each Movie Package, you can access a cast or crew's filmography, photo gallery, news, and forum by clicking on his/her name. Simply put, the Tomato Picker allows you to quickly pick the desired title or section of the site, whether you?re looking for a specific movie currently playing in theaters or an upcoming DVD release. The Tomato Picker also lets you find movies based on other categories, like the Tomatometer rating or year of release. The nifty thing about the Tomato Picker is that you can refine your search. For example, you pick ?Action/Adventure? from the list of movie genres in the Movies Tomato Picker. You?re given a list of action/adventure movies. From there, you can refine your search by selecting more search categories from the Tomato Picker. For instance, if you want to find action/adventure movies that are rated at 70% or higher, you can do so by choosing "70% or higher" in the Tomatometer rating list. If you wanted to narrow that even further, by finding those action/adventure films that are rated PG-13, you can select "PG-13" from the MPAA Rating list. Updated every day, this section is a covenient way to find news stories related to current and upcoming movies. We search various entertainment sites and present you with links to articles in an easy-to-browse format. Whether you're looking for movie posters, DVDs, soundtracks, books, or electronic equipment, you can find the lowest prices on our shop page. There's lots of information to digest on this site, but do you have something you want to say? Post your thoughts up here on the message board about movies, actors and actresses, directors, the site itself, anything at all. |
