Pew Center

The Washington-based Pew Center on Global Climate Change was established in 1998 as a non-profit and non-partisan organization with the dual purpose of providing a forum for objective research and analysis, and to assist the development of pragmatic and innovative policies and solutions to combat climate change. Based on the belief that it is possible to protect the climate while sustaining economic growth, the Pew Center works to bring together business leaders, policy makers, scientists, and other experts to bring a new approach to the complex and often controversial issue of climate change. The Pew Center is supported by a range of individuals and charitable organizations.

Working Method

The Pew Center issues reports on key climate topics such as economic and environmental impacts and practical domestic and international policy solutions. These reports are, according to the Pew Center distributed to more than 4,000 opinion leaders throughout the world, with thousands more downloaded monthly from the Center's website.
