Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a national charity which is dedicated to research into breast cancer. The Charity's vision is a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
The charity conducts research into breast cancer, campaigns for better treatments and services, and produces an extensive range of educational publications on the subject.
The Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre in London was opened in December 1999. Together with the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, it forms the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer was founded to create a centre of excellence for breast cancer research. It was the vision of Bill Freedman and his children, when his wife Toby Robins died from breast cancer in 1986.
Breast cancer devastates the lives of people all over the world. If you, your family or friends have not been affected by breast cancer, you're in the minority. The only way to prevent this is to support the work of charities like Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, don’t forget to fill in a Gift Aid form, so for every £1 you donate, the Inland Revenue will give us an extra 28p.
