Ancient tombs found in Halabja

 

Sulaimaniya, 9 August (AKnews) – Three ancient tombs were found in Halabja that belong to the seventeenth century.  

 

The tombs were found in Ababile village, Halabja town which refer to the year 1800, Halabka commissioner Kwestan Akram said.

 

The tombs were taken to Sulaimaniya museum and information on them is engraved in Persian language, she added.  

 

Ababile village is one of the ancient villages which locate east of Halabja town and is 81km from east of Sualimaniya province.

 

The village has an ancient cemetery incorporating tombs of many outstanding figures such as Ahmed Mukhtar Jaf, Tayar Bag Jaf and Adila Khanim.
