090301 • Philips – 'Carousel'
Redrum have finally completed the monster that is known as 'Carousel'. The colossal 'Frozen Moment' weighs in at 2 minutes and 19 seconds, has over 60 extras and a camera that traverses over 100 meters through a fumbled bank transport robbery in a hospital.
The major headache of this job was stitching together 7 different takes. 3D elements were added and explosions and muzzle flashes were designed and rendered by our friends at Magoo Studios.
The film was part of a microsite for Philips and also featured 3 'hotspots' where the user can see the Director, DOP and VFX Supervisor talk about the cinematic experience of the new 21:9 Cinema TV.
