After completing a btec approved traineeship (distinction grade) in the early 1990’s, Jamie Martin found prominence in the jewellery industry while working at the workshop of Clive Burr Goldsmiths. Among the numerous and prestigious commissions entrusted to Jamie while working for Clive Burr were presentations for The Sheriff of London, De Beers, HRH The Queen Mother, The Sultan of Brunei and The Goldsmiths Company.

The varied and specialised tasks that he undertook there – and the quality of his work - have ensured that Jamie is recognised among his peers as one of London’s most skilled jewellery makers. After becoming Clive Burr’s Workshop Manager he worked on a variety of projects for many of London’s most established and sought-after jewellery houses, before forming a partnership with his brother Casey in 2003.

Since completing an Honours degree course in design at The Sir John Cass College in London (in 2001), Casey Martin has been working closely with his brother at their workshop in Mayfair. Together they have been designing and creating privately commissioned one-off fine jewellery pieces and sets, both classic and contemporary. In 2005 J&C Martin launched their Mayfair Store (at 15 Shepherd Market) offering a unique range of eye-catching, colourful and intriguing jewellery. J&C Martin hand-craft beautiful pieces either as one-off designs or in small batches in their in-house Mayfair workshop.
