Manager's Message
You may or may not have heard of a Yurt. If you have not allow me to help you. The word Yurt is originally from a Turkic word referring to the imprint left in the ground by a moved Yurt, and by extension, sometimes a person's homeland or even kinsmen. The term came to be used in reference to the physical tent-like dwellings only in other languages. In Russian the structure is called "Yurta" (юрта), whence the word came into English.
Torreya State Park is the only Florida State Park that offers the Yurt, a camping experience like no other. The Torreya Yurt is fully furninshed, heat and air conditioned and will sleep five adults. Call for details.
"Spend some quality time in the mountains of Florida."
Please log on to www.Reserveamerica.com or call 1-800-326-3521 for camping reservations in our family campground or our famous YURT.
