Harland Williams

Harland WilliamsHarland Williams (born November 14, 1962) is a Canadian actor, comedian and radio personality.
Williams was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Lorraine, a writer, and John Reesor Williams, a lawyer and Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario who served as Solicitor-General of the province. He attended Sheridan College, and worked as a forest ranger for five summers before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. He has written and illustrated eight children’s books on various topics including a brontosaurus named Lickety Split. He did a trip around the world with National Geographic.
Since his movie debut in 1994’s Dumb and Dumber, he has appeared Harland Williamsin numerous movies including Half Baked, Freddy Got Fingered, Superstar, Down Periscope, Big Money Hustlas, The Whole Nine Yards, Employee of the Month, Sorority Boys, There’s Something About Mary, and RocketMan. He also provided the voice of Lug in the animated film Robots and Carl in Meet the Robinsons.
He has performed his stand-up comedy numerous times at the Montreal comedy festival Just for Laughs and at other notable venues. His stand-up routine is often odd, with random allusions to disconnected topics such as the Koala and KFC. He hosted the Just for Laughs television show for the 1995-96 season.
He was a favored guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien for his quirky antics and apparent on-screen chemistry with Conan.
In April 2007, he appeared on Thank God You’re Here, where he won the Blue Door Award.
