In early 2008, the Australian Health Ministers commissioned Deloitte to develop a National E-Health Strategy in consultation with key stakeholders including government and the health sector.
The National E-Health Strategy was endorsed by Health Ministers in December 2008.
The Strategy provides a framework and plan aimed at delivering a safer, better connected and more sustainable health care system over the next decade.

ACT Health National e-Health Presentation
On 27 March 2009, ACT Health presented this strategy to the health sector.
Attendees comprised broad representation from the health sector, including public, private, consumers and government agencies.
