CAPTION : A map of Aberdeen, Ap Lei Chau, and Ocean Park, which comprises of both sides of Brick Hill on the right side. The famed Cable Car is shown in red. The Aberdeen Tunnel on the top right links this region with downtown Hong Kong (Wanchai District). Repulse Bay and Stanley are further down on the bottom right (SE).

Ocean Park Photos

Ocean Park is Southeast Asia's largest amusement park, occupying 87 hectares of land on the south side of Hong Kong Island, just east of Aberdeen. The park is divided into 2 parts, separated by Nam Long Shan (Brick Hill) and connected by a cable-car system. It has the world's largest reef aquarium, the world's longest covered escalator, and has a panda exhibit, a 72-m rotating observation tower, and a replica of an ancient Chinese city.

Ocean Park has a special bus service operated by Citybus from Admiralty MTR Station . There is also service to the park from other parts of Hong Kong. Check their website for details.

Ocean Park Cable Car The cable cars run along the hills following the coastline of Deep Water Bay. Beyond the hills are many beaches popular among local residents, including Repulse Bay .

Hong Kong is made up of over 200 islands in the South China Sea. Many of Hong Kong's richest people buy villas along the south coast for their spectactular views of the ocean.

Aberdeen

Aberdeen is a fishing port on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Its typhoon shelter is filled with fishing vessels, some of which offer boat cruises in the shelter or across the shelter to Ap Lei Chau, an offshore island with many housing estates.
