Scoring against the Germans.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I’m sure we all remember this triumphant occasion. It was in the  Heysel Stadium (yes, that Heysel Stadium), which has actually now been rebuilt and is the King Baudouin Stadium, yet people still seem to call it the Heysel.

It’s a lovely try scored by the Belgians in a 32-18 win over the Germans. Who doesn’t enjoy people scoring against the Germans? (I am assuming that you reading this, are not German). The Germans defensively appear to be as much use as a sopping wet pile of loo rolls. But Belgium do not look excellent either. Which bodes well for possible future plans.

My return to rugby training, for the first time since late 2003, will be next week. I’ll keep you posted.

God Bless Belgium.

I can’t make any sort of a comment that would better this.
