Enjoy Battlefield 1943 Weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Fans of Battlefield 1943 will feel right at home in EA DICE's next title, Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Why?

Owners of 1943 will have exclusive access to some of their favorite WWII-era weapons in the multi-player mode of Bad Company 2!

We can't wait to see how these decades old weapons will stack up against the latest and greatest of Bad Company 2.

We're in the process of finalizing exactly which weapons will make the jump, so vote for your favorite in the latest poll!

    I'm a huge Battlefield fan, but this doesn't make any sense.  I mean come on who would want to use a fifty year old weapon over the latest in high-tech weapons?  Which one should I use, the M1 semi-automatic rifle or the M4 automatic assault rifle?  Hmmm... yeah that's a tough choice. lol  I would understand if they make it a disadvantage to use the old weapons, and it's more of a personal choice for anyone who wants to use them.  For example, kind of like the MP44 for COD:Modern Warfare.  In the end  I just don't want to see people actually dominating with a wwII weapon over the latest weapons that are out right now.

    Good point maximus..  Mind you if the weapons are balanced as they compare in reality, it would still offer a certain amount of fun and throw in badges/achievements/trophies... etc. for using those weapons, it'll be worth while.

    Old weapon? Less damage.. if it deals the same amount of damage like the new weapons it would be crap.. Can you use the old weapon in bf bc 2 as well if you get the pc version?

    Its wasted space in my opinion. I could only let pass the Colt 45 because its still in use today. But no m1 garand, or a thompson. Its kind of ridiculous, they still have the time to put more weapons into the game. And instead they'll waste space instead of doing new weapons for all classes. Dont get me wrong, is not that Im insulting their choice...but recapitulate on that decision, new weapons would be an improvement. WW2 stylish weapons just dont have a place in a modern war, 'cept for the Colt 45. Post wars are acceptable, hell I even want an vietnam era M14 or even the mighty AK47 and the SVD. Old weapons but still used today. But no jap smg or a springfield or k98. Please dont be that harsh for deciding what comes in the next game with a senseless poll...

    What's the point of putting old weapons in a new game? It wont be used anyway. It's just to crap compared to the real guns.
