Taylor Lautner says in the new Rolling Stone that he has never smoked pot, never tried cigarettes, never been drunk and never snorted a line of cocaine. (He's not the usual RS star, is he?)
Lautner, 17, is just not into that stuff. He's into martial arts. He started learning karate at age six and moved on to Xtreme Martial Arts, relocating with his family to Los Angeles to pursue acting and stomaching the bullying that came along with it. He put on 30 pounds of muscle between the first two Twilight films. And he's modest. "It's Twilight. It's not me personally," he says of the crazy New Moon fame he's feeling.
And let's give his parents some credit. Rolling Stone says: "His father, Dan, is an airline pilot with a master's degree in clinical psychology. His mother, Deb, was a project manager at Herman Miller, the office-equipment manufacturer. They are still married, took Lautner regularly to their Catholic church, supported him from an early age and taught him a strong work ethic and a sense of morality."
As for that other Taylor - Taylor Swift? In the story, he says they "instantly clicked. Aside from being beautiful, she's extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around."
