Applicants are encouraged to take an active role in identifying potential employers and seeking out job opportunities. CERES will assist in this process based on past experience and networks of information and contacts throughout the region. The Summer Internship Program is designed to provide a first international career related work experience. It will not ordinarily support a return visit to a country where a student has previously lived for an extensive period; for students in this second category, limited logistical and other support may be available on a case-by-case basis, once the needs of students in the first category have been met. The CERES grant may be used to fund travel, visas, health insurance, rent, and a per diem overseas, while employers are expected to pay an average local salary or provide free accommodation in lieu of pay. Applications are invited both from students with existing job offers and those who require assistance in finding a suitable placement. DEADLINE: Applications should be received in full at CERES by February 15. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
