New Welsh club formed as Crusaders move north

By Dave Hadfield

The Rugby League is due to announce tomorrow that the game's main presence in South Wales will be at Neath when the Crusaders relocate to Wrexham for next season. A new club in Championship 1 at The Gnoll will provide some continuity in the Valleys. The former Celtic Crusaders are also likely to play some home games in Newport.

The Australian Test second-rower, Phil Bailey has re-signed for Wigan but the Catalan Dragons have failed to hang on to Deon Bird, who has opted to join the Gold Coast Titans.
