THE LEGACY OF REGINALD PERRIN

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Reggie Perrin is back. Well, in spirit he is…

This follow-up to the popular series The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, opens with Reggie's funeral. He has been killed by a falling billboard advertising the very insurance company with which he was insured. Writer David Nobbs has revived his characters in a comedy for the 90s, with almost all the original cast picking up where they left off.

There is Reggie's ineffectual brother-in-Iaw, Jimmy, of the 'cock up on the catering front' fame (played by Geoffrey Palmer), Reggie's old boss, C.J. (John Barron), who didn't get where he is today by resting on his laurels, and Reggie's widow, Elizabeth (PaulineYates). Reggie's sexy secretary along with Doc Morrissey, his wine-making son-in-law, Tom, Tom's wife Linda, and David ('super! ') Harris-Jones are all ready to pay their last respects.

And good ol' Reggie has left a surprising amount of money to each of his friends, family and acquaintances. But he's also planned his last laugh. They can only claim the money if they succeed in doing something totally and utterly absurd. And Ms. Hackstraw, Reggie's beautiful lawyer (Patricia Hodge), will be the judge of that…
