Vishnu, her savior, as he accompanied her on all those scary evenings when she had to climb up the dark staircase in the evening all by herself….
Vishnu, the one who helped her burst the water baloon on his own bald head………juz to make her feel delighted that she had managed to drench him with colourful water on the ‘holi’ day
They know each other from the last 24 years….
For few years they met twice daily , in the afternoon when she went to school….and in the evening , while coming back home.
They always had a strange conversation which otherwise , seemed to be just a gesture and it was never beyond that ‘one’ word.
Today, she met him once again…….
Vishnu, the nepali watchman, has grown old but still walks in his unique ‘ ever in hurry’ style.
Once again they had their strange but special ‘one word conversation’
As always, walking quickly towards her, in nepali accent and a high pitch tone, he called her name….
“lochamee”
and only waiting to receive in return, “a childish smile”
