Are you being too harsh? No. No, you're not. I agree with everything you said and I feel that the reason Resident Evil has appealed to me so much over the years is because it was its own thing. Fuck the haters of the controls or the fixed camera angles - those quirks are some of the reasons I thought Resident Evil was so great.

Resident Evil 5 was the first game in the series that didn't "wow" me and I'm sad because of that. I hope the creators pull the series in a direction that's more similar to the previous games. Resident Evil 1-3 are gaming classics thanks to excellent characters, stories, and unique controls that made the games stand out from the rest. I don't want a Gears of War clone. If I want to play Gears of War I'll pop in the disc. ... view replies

It's not too late for Sony considering that they're not too far behind Live in terms of what's offered. The lack of cross-game chat is disappointing, but hopefully they implement that sometime in the near future.

At the end of the day Batman: AA is a video game and many parts of the game were very "game-y" such as swinging from gargoyle to gargoyle to lose your enemies. Regardless of whether or not the ending disappointed you, Batman: AA was a fantastic game and it has raised the bar for comic book games in the future. I don't know, man. inFamous's morality system is exactly like any other game with moral choices. Fallout, Fable, Bioshock, etc... I'm not really sure what you were expecting going in. Despite how black and white the moral choices are the game is a blast to play. Whether you're having fun with it or not should help you determine if you should continue playing it or put it on the shelf. ... view replies

Anyway, you're one of the few people I know who actually enjoyed the demo enough to buy the game. Most of the people I've talked to said that they'll wait for a price drop or they'll just pass up the game altogether.

Me? I'm indifferent about the game after playing the demo. I'd say what I liked and what I didn't like is about 50/50. The game gave me a budget title vibe, so I would be hard pressed to shell out $60 for it. That said I enjoyed the no-bullshit-bang-bang-bang gameplay it had going on. ... view replies
