Record:

- Launched on 25 July 1903 as Abdülmecidiye.

- Commissioned on 19 December 1903 as Mecidiye.

- Took part in the Balkan War.

- On 3 April 1915, Mecidiye hit a Russian mine 15 miles off Odessa. It sank immediately, with 26 sailors losing their lives. Survivors are salvaged by Hamidiye.

- On 8 June 1915, Mecidiye was salvaged by the Russians, refitted and commissioned by the Russian Navy and renamed Prut.

- In May 1918, Prut is seized by German armed forces at Sevastopol. On 13 May, it was returned to the Turkish Navy and renamed Mecidiye.

- Laid up at Istanbul on 30 October 1918.

- Renewed by the Turkish Navy at Gölcük in 1925.

- Used as a stationary cadet training ship.

- Sold for breaking up in 1952.
