When you are on the road, time is money. I-PASS keeps you moving through the Open Road Tolling lanes along the Illinois Tollway�eliminating idle time and excessive braking at mainline plazas. Online account management makes tracking and reporting of toll expenses much easier than collecting receipts.

New Accounts

I-PASS transponders for Commercial Vehicles are available by phone, at our Customer Care Center, Tollway Customer Service Center (O�Hare Oasis), and select Road Rangers. Please refer to the Customer Service page for more information.
If you use E-ZPass facilities you will need a special blue transponder available at the Customer Care Center in Downer�s Grove, Mobile I-PASS and the Tollway Customer Service Center at the O�Hare Oasis.
All new Commercial Accounts are now pre-paid only.

Account Management

Manage Online
Online account management makes it easy and convenient to manage your commercial vehicle account. Refer to the customer services page for the types of transactions available online.

Monthly Statements
If you wish to receive a printed monthly statement by mail ($24 annual service charge), you may call the toll free service number at 800.UC.IPASS or visit a Tollway Customer Service Center.

Shared Balance
Shared Balance allows businesses that have more than one transponder to consolidate all transponders to one I-PASS account � �sharing� the same pool of funds. Minimum low balance and auto-replenish amounts are based on average monthly usage. Monitor individual transponder transactions through the online account history feature or by registering for printed monthly statements.

Shared Balance Accounts Amounts are recalculated each month based on the average monthly usage totals for the previous 6 months. Most accounts will continue to replenish at the standard minimum of $40. High usage accounts (fewer then 5% of all I-PASS Accounts) will replenish at greater amounts. Please Note: If you have requested a fixed replenishment rate on your Shared Balance account, you will not be impacted by the recalculation.

Using I-PASS

All lanes are equipped to accept I-PASS on the Illinois Tollway. The Open Road Tolling lanes allow I-PASS users, including truckers, to stay on the mainline and pay tolls at the posted speed. Please be aware that vehicles without I-PASS will be merging right to use the Cash Toll Plazas and will merge back into the mainline after paying their tolls. E-ZPass facilities accept I-PASS but you must have the proper transponder. Also, if you have E-ZPass, you can use it on the Illinois Tollway. Learn more about using your I-PASS on other roads.
