Twenty-four Austin-area businesses were recognized for outstanding accomplishments during the Ninth-Annual Greater Austin Business Awards held August 26 at the Hilton Austin Hotel. This year’s theme, “Heavyweights of Business”, recognized the hard-hitting impact that the efforts made by Austin businesses have had on our city over the past year.

Created in 2001, the Greater Austin Business Awards has grown each year and has sold out the past five years. Award categories include Innovation, Customer Service, Community Service, Education, Environment and Take On Traffic. Each of these categories recognized winners in small, medium, large and non-profit businesses.

The Chamber congratulates all of the nearly 300 companies that were nominated. The 2009 winners are:
