The geographic area of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina is in the ecclesiastical province of Atlanta which includes the Archdiocese of Atlanta (Georgia) and Diocese of Savannah (Georgia), Dioceses of Charlotte and Raleigh (North Carolina) and the Diocese of Charleston (South Carolina).
I am voluntarily creating this site as a helpful guide to researching the history of the local Catholic Churches and to help genealogists who are researching Catholic ancestors in this geographic area.
