ABOUT
On August 9th, 2009 the 25th Annual CityFest took place in which the Hillcrest Business Association hosted a rededication ceremony for the Hillcrest sign. The stilt walker, "The Spirit of Hillcrest," led the lantern procession down Fifth Avenue to the Grand Stage to lead up to the relighting countdown. The sign was relit as fireworks went off and the crowd cheered in celebration. The event featured over 200 unique arts and crafts booths, a food court of cuisines from all over the world, as well as a grand stage with 10+ hours of live music, a spirits beer garden, pool party, mechanical bull rides, and a dunk tank.
