Ed Schultz (Associated Press photo)

When we last encountered MSNBC talking head Ed Schultz, he was busy exploiting the Gilbert Arenas fiasco to propose employment-based gun bans. Not content to subvert one freedom, Schultz has added to his "progressive" credentials by proposing to subvert another.

Speaking about the surprisingly close race in Massachusetts to fill Ted...uh...the people's seat, Schultz told his radio show audience:

I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I'd try to vote 10 times. I don't know if they'd let me or not, but I'd try to. Yeah, that's right. I'd cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. 'Cause that's exactly what they are.

What Schultz is proposing is nothing less than casus belli.

There's a quote attributed to the late conservative Democrat Representative Larry McDonald:

We have four boxes with which to defend our freedom: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

We're not going to let you use your soap box to destroy any others, Schultz, you subversive punk (that's exactly what you are). You don't want that last box opened.

And if anyone interprets that to mean I'm skating near edges, so be it.

GONV alerts members to gun rights questionnaire
Gun Owners of Nevada has put out a plea:

Now is the time to insure that everyone who is running for the Nevada State Legislature is pro-gun. And not just that they talk the talk. GONV’s position is that if a candidate is not an avid supporter of the Second Amendment then GONV will not support them and will insure that their constituents are aware of their anti-gun bias. This is where your help is needed.

Confusion in Oregon

Oregon Firearms Federation notes the "legislature plans to turn back the clock on gun rights." And they come up with a rather startling disclosure:

So, yesterday, immediately following the committee meeting, we met with Prozanski to get an explanation for his sudden desire to reverse his own bill. He claimed to be "confused" by his bill and said he had "not known what was in it."

I'd say "unbelievable," but it's really not. We've seen profound legislative malpractice/ignorance before.
