News and Notes:

to all of our colleagues throughout the world!

Congratulations to Harald Haarmann for the publication of his newly released book, Interacting with Figurines: Seven Dimensions in the Study of Imagery, published by Full Circle Press. This is an archaeomythological investigation of the creation and significance of figurines that have occupied a prominent space in the cultural ecology of human populations for many thousands of years. Highly recommended!

Copies of the proceedings of the symposium, SIGNS OF CIVILIZATION: NEOLITHIC SYMBOL SYSTEM OF SOUTHEAST EUROPE (IAM, 2009), held in collaboration with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia, are still available. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the proceedings, send an email to <info@archaeomythology.org>.
