MANILA, Philipines—Emilio Aguinaldo College and Arellano University, two of the guest schools in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 85, are now on probationary status for regular membership in the oldest collegiate league.
In a text message to INQUIRER.net, NCAA management committee chair Jose Mari Lacson said, “EAC and AU have just been accepted officially to the NCAA on probationary status starting the 86th Season.”
Lacson said that the NCAA Policy Board and the Mancom members decided the membership status of the two schools in a meeting Wednesday.
EAC and AU would be on probationary status for three years, added Lacson.
In the seniors’ division of the basketball league, AU finished fifth place with an 8-10 win-loss slate while EAC ended up in seventh place with 6 wins and 12 losses.
The regular members of the NCAA are San Beda College, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Mapua Institute of Technology, De La Salle-College of St.Benilde, Jose Rizal University.
