{ costume of the day } super sleuth

all it took was the slightest hint of a warm(er) day for me to bust out this trench coat ~ i've been dying to wear it! the scalloped hem, pockets, and placket remind me of all the best parts of chloe spring 2009. plus it has a leopard lining! it's lighter and shorter than this trench, and a gal can never have too many great basics, right?

{ wearing: self-embellished vintage hat, the glamourai halcyon carcanet necklace, l'ecole des femmes trench coat, theory shirtdress, coach boots }

You look divine. I love the unconventional pairing of that hat with the coat (won't make you so discreet for spying, though).

LOVE the outfit! I'm such a fan of trenches and you wear yours beautifully! Love the hat too! ;) In Japan I bought a tartan hat, but sadly, it is nothing like yours (did keep my head warm though)

I want that hat! It reminds me of my favorite "mad, plaid and dangerous to know" jacket from last summer: http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2009/06/mad-plaid-and-dangerous-to-know/

Get ready for a gushy comment...
I've been checking your blog for about a year and I love the way your style is consistent but grows in new directions. Your pictures and your looks are always impeccable. The plaid hat, the casually belted trench and the chunky chains are perfect.
End of gushing...
Well, I could go on but it might get awkward...
