Risky Business

Paris is the capital of all sexy, all alluring. As I go on doing my lil’ business, I wonder if this fishnet body would spice things up a bit. To be completely honest with you, it is actually a dress. More precisely a find from our past weekend’s shopping getaway in that mysterious Paris cellar, entrance by rendez-vous only. I like my fashions to be chic and seductive – I made a resolution to be sensual all year round. Apparel is also fun – mixing different ambiances and textures, shocking just the good dose.

Cruising in Chanel

By Susu, January 22, 2010 11:25 pm

This is what Chanel dishes up for us on their Paris, rue Montaigne windows. Italy, Capri, Florence, Rome… the sweet sound of accordion and the enticing smell of salt water. Generous portions of steaming pasta and huge scoops of lush tiramisu. Who could resist… and why should we? Wedges are in the picture, together with lots of lacing and refined, mainly black accessories. Red nails to polish off the last mouthfuls of crunchy amarettis. Andiamo, I say!

Paris My Love

My sweetheart and I had a lovely, romantique weekend meandering around the rainy, fog-blanketed Paris. We heated our spirits with a steaming meal at a cosy diner in the Latin Quarters - accompanied with a glass of wine for mademoiselle. Then our sweet free floating continued onto a little try-it-on session at our fave’ store – hidden away in the old city cellars. Entrance by ringing the doorbell. The Madame gracefully answers the door and you prance into garment wonderland.

Frosty Raspberries Brave Black

By Susu, January 15, 2010 3:16 pm

As we’re shifting towards longer days, the ever-so-agog fashion world starts glancing into spring fads. The up-coming season will be about pastels. Ice-cream colored airy clothing, chiffon light lacework in almond, aniseed yellow, nude peach or pale blueberry. Knits have been the buzz of this winter. In this outfit I gaze into spring with bending the black-black and yet more black winter fashions with frostbitten raspberries. Gently gliding from one color cosmos into another. Staying warm and chic.

As I’m typing this away, and overlooking the fog covered Paris, I’m thinking about you, my dear gal pals, and how much sweetness you bring into my daily life… Thank you for being there! Wishing you a berry-blended weekend…

Shoe Stunts

Might it be cabin fever or why this chick’s energy levels are flying sky-high? As the wintry temps hold me more or less hostage indoors, my zippy spirit simmers up ideas one crazier than another.  I’m thinking purple. I’m doing somersaults, pirouettes and yoga. The generous scarf around my chest is a gift from Iran. One shouldered tops still pull a trick on me.

Peppermint and Violets

By Susu, January 8, 2010 4:48 pm

This post features colors that don’t usually make it into my wardrobe. Peppermint, green apples, pickles, green olives… I craze over all them, but don’t really contemplate myself wearing the goodie-colored garb. And yet, a lovely gift from a dear person gave me the whiz-bang push. Look at this hand-knitted vest! Tuning up pieces and DIY has been intriguing me more and more lately… I haven’t done much on that front since I vamoosed the school benches. Maybe the new decade will reveal the craftswoman in me. What’s you outlook on personalizing attire?
