Welcome to the Moon Cycles web site. If you think the modern bicycle is one of the more elegant machines ever devised by man, as I do then I think you will enjoy what we have to offer here. So enjoy browsing this site and please email any thoughts, comments or suggestions you might have. To get the most detail from the images I recommend you set your video card color settings at high color, 16 bit (good) or 24 bit (best). As you browse these pages you can view various images by clicking on the highlighted text found within some of the paragraphs throughout the site.

Moon Cycles was founded on the desire to perpetuate the art of the lugged steel frame. While there are many methods of joining tubes together I feel that lugs are the most elegant. Carefully sculptured lugs give a frame a distinctive appearance, and when used in conjunction with silver brazing material, results in one of the most reliable joints. Building frames with lugs is more time consuming than with other methods, but I think it's worth the extra effort. Check out some of the images and you will see what I mean. Because of the extra amount of time that goes into producing a frame of this quality, only a limited number of these fine hand crafted frames are produced each year.

If you have never owned a custom frame and are now considering one, you may ask why you should purchase a custom frame. A custom made frame can enhance your riding experience because it is made to fit you and your riding style. A frame that is built to extract your full potential as a cyclist. Also, each frame is as individual as the rider, from the style of the lugs to the color of the paint scheme. Personal attention to your needs and desires to achieve the frame of your dreams.
