Each new tax year usually comes with a few new tax code changes and updates to account for new laws and inflation. However, 2009 was no ordinary year for the tax code.
Between the various stimulus programs passed last year to help the country out of its deep recession, there were more tax incentives handed out than you can shake a stick at. If you bought a new home or car, invested in energy efficiency, collected unemployment, or even did nothing but continue to work, there were tax incentives that most likely affected you.
