THE SHOW (Part 1)
Well the two presenters dressed very formally are on stage introducing last years' winners "Pirates of the Sea" singing a song about the country hosting this years' Eurovision Song Contest edition which is originally sung by Dschinghis Khan (Germany 1979). Now we are back to the hosts for the evening who are explaining the system which will be used to pick the winner and this year's Latvian representative. We are now going through the panel of jurors which includes music industry professionals amongst other people connected to the business.
PARTICIPANTS
01. Simply 4 - When the sun is going down
Well the 4 piece boyband returns to the stage dressed even more appropriate than yesterday wearing matching suits which have a teenage touch. The pop rock song sounds absolutely great and their vocals have certainly improved since yesterday. The climax is still weak as the vocals decline but the overall stage performance is inspiring. A great show opening.
02. Aisha feat. G-Point - Hey, hey
Well the Latvian Sylvia Night is back and she starts off the song in the same way she did yesterday with some interesting choreography. Dressed in a skimpy outfit, Aisha is better than yesterday vocally yet she is nowhere near being good which is quite dissapointing as this pop rock song is quit catchy. Joined o stage by a girl band, she reaches a climax which includes some horrible high notes which end flat. Still a big one in the crowd though.
03. Kristina Zaharova & Annija Putnina - Angel of mine
Well the runner-up in Ireland returns for the second consecutive night with her partner Annija. The ballad is very melodic and seems to be left without a pinnacle which should be there to keep the crowd entrilled yet the people keep guessing. The vocals are spot on and they have to be the best vocalists this evening. They are joined onstage by two male vocalists who add nice harmonies to the song. I predict this to be the winner this evening although it will have to worked upon in order to attract votes in Moscow .
BREAK
Well this minor interval includes the female host conducting an interview with Lidia Kopania who will be representing Poland next May with her entry "I Don't Wanna Leave" which is followed by the male host conducting an interview with Sasha Son who will be representing Lithuania with his entry "Love".
04. Sabine Berezina feat. Per - Bye, bye
Well the vocals are much better as Sabine hits her notes perfectly after the rap part. In general this song reminds us of the Czech Republic entry from 2008 yet the music is more poppish at times. The singer truly amazing dressed in a white dress mixing beautifully with her red hair. The song might not be too appealing but with a couple of improvements here and there it could be a sure qualifier in Moscow. The bridge of the entry is truly something different and the singer will be getting lots of votes this evening as the crowd looks enthralled.
05. Iveta Baumane & Ivo Grisninš-Grislis - Tic tac
Well the interesting "Sex Bomb" remix is on stage at the moment as the duo seems to be dressed up perfectly for a street version of a prom. Well the vocals are not really of a high standard but are just fine throughout the whole three minutes. The song seems to be performed a bit better than yesterday as the background continues to change with the fast beats in the music. Cannot see this one winning tonight.
BREAK
The male host speaks to a member of the Jury as we head to the breaks offered by the broadcaster.
06. Intars Busulis - Sastregums
Well another pop-rock entry to hit the stage in this evening's final. The main singers' vocals are quite good but the song sounds too noisy at times. The backing vocalists add great harmonies in a slow refrain. The song might remind the viewers of this years Belarussian entry but better. I cannot see Latvia going for it as the singer seems to be struggling in the latter part of the song.
07. Natalija Tumševica - Dinamite
Well yet another pop-rock entry which graces the stage. Natalija dressed in a black leather ensemble is dancing around the stage in what seems to be a Britney Spears influenced routine. The vocals are near flawless which is amazing considering all aspects. The stage performance looks really good on the screen and I predict this to be a dark horse this evening.
08. Camillas - Time Goes
This has to be one of the sweetest entries in terms of music and performance as the group clearly does their utmost to present this free spirit traditional pop music. The male singer is wearing a shirt depicting the title of the song. He is joined on stage by two "dancers" who do some interesting hand movements acting also as backing singers as well as a guitarist and another person playing the bongos. This song is totally uplifting as one of the backing starts plating a type of flute but I do not see it doing well in Eurovision.
BREAK
The host introduces us to another member of the Jury in a short interview.
09. Trianas Parks - Call me any time you need a problem
Well it sounded like sound pollution yesterday but it does sound a tad better today. In any way the main singer looks to be a drag queen. The music is purely rock but overall even the stage presentation looks messy. The group do their best to impress the crowd and achieve that as the crowd claps heartily like there's no tomorrow. I really cannot see Latvia stoop so low when it comes to such a prestigious song festival.
10. Ketta - Without you
Well the final song of the evening is quite a fan favourite. The music of this entry as well as the looks of the singer are clearly inspired from Lady Gaga. The vocals are spot on from all the people who have a role in them on the stage. The song requires a solid choreography which it undoubtedly has. The climax is also influenced by american pop-rock music but that is nothing near being bad. I predict this song to go far this evening but will it be a winner ? Not sure but would probably impress in Moscow this May.

The jury has now went into a designated room where they will finalise their scores and choose the three which will be competing in superfinal while the viewers are enjoying the recaps show which will help the jury vote in choosing the three superfinalists (50%/50%). Well the hosts have now changed as we are expecting the first round of results. Well the broadcaster has now taken the liberty to show some of it's competitors in May namely Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Georgia and France. Well here comes the first interval act this evening. They are Fomins un Kleins (Latvia 2004) and is singing one of his latest hits. Several awards are being given at the moment starting with with Draugiem.lv which is the most popular and visited friend portal in Latvia who give their award to Aisha while Ventspils give their award to Intars Busulis
