On an unrelated note, I spent my childhood in New Orleans watching the 'Aints with a Schwegman's paper grocery bag on my head. If you'd told me then that there would be something called "The Internet", I could have imagined it. If you'd told me the New Orleans Saints would have won a Super Bowl I would not have believed you. It's gonna be a wild Mardi Gras.

Geaux Saints.

On another unrelated note, check out this sneak peek of a model of the set for Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical.

You can? Cool.

Oh, and thanks to you, debuts on the NYTimes Bestseller list at #2 along side pals Jerry Pinkney, Mark Teague, Jane Yolen, and Peter Brown. This is an unexpected treat! Thanks, you!

That was the BEST bubble-gum-hot-dog-quiche-lint-party EVER!

The old Mo Willems Studio Mailbag is full of great ideas, comics, and drawings from enthusiastic tykes eager to infringe on my copyright.

Some recent favorites include Pigeons on Skateboads:

Pigeons with pals (and on their own):

Great ideas for Pigeon books:

"Guest Staring the Shoes"! Heh.

This one is delightfully surreal: "The Pigeon Can Drive a Gingerbread Man":

I love it when kids combine my characters with theirs:
Eugene looks like he may have hot dog and squab in mind!

This story came from a sight impaired fan who wrote her story in braille!

But it's not all sweetness and light. I have to answer some tough questions:

Am I a professional boxer? Yes. I am the Regional World Wimpy Over Weight Champion in the Middle Age Division.

We'd love to see your drawings here at the Mo Willems Studio. Drop a line to:
