Officer Charles Jones was born and raised in Scooba, Mississippi. He came to Louisville on a Basketball Scholarship in 1981. After 4 seasons and 2 Final Four appearances with the University of Louisville, the Phoenix Suns drafted Charles into the National Basketball Association.

Charles spent 5 years in the NBA, playing for the Phoenix Suns, Portland Trailblazers and Washington Bullets. After his 5 year NBA career, Charles traveled overseas and played two seasons of professional basketball in Italy.

In 1993, Charles came back to Louisville and joined his brother Kent on the Louisville Police Department. Charles has served in many capacities with the police department. His assignments include serving in multiple patrol districts, the traffic bureau, and finally, starting the Police Athletic League in the year 2000.

Charles is married to his college sweetheart and has a daughter and a son.

Officer Chris Bowman was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from DuPont Manual High School, he continued his education at the University of Louisville where he earned a Bachelor of Science  Degree in Justice Administration.  He played competitive golf and racquetball in school and is a successful bowler, winning several tournaments and leagues.

After graduating from U of L in 1998, Chris entered law enforcement the same year. His law enforcement experience includes assignments with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy sheriff, the Jefferson County Police Department as a patrol officer, and the Louisville Metro Police Department Eighth Division as a District Resource Officer.  Chris has been assigned to the Police Athletic League since May 2006.

Chris is married to Melissa and has one daughter.
