The Inflation rate for the month of January 2010 has fallen to 14.78% from that of December 2009 which was 15.97%. This follows a downward trend which has been consistent for the past six months.

Parents and guardians who have their wards at the Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School in Takoradi are reportedly trooping to the school as over one hundred students have been rushed to the Efia-Nkwanta Hospital for suspected mass food poisoning.
