JLS: plans to crack the US in spring

JLS are planning to launch an assault on the music market in the US when they go over next month.

The hugely popular boyband, who were the runners-up on last year’s X Factor, have had massive success in the UK, lifting two MOBO Awards and two Brit Awards in the last few months.

And it seems that they’re keen to continue their success stateside, with big aims to move into the notoriously hard to crack American music market.

The news comes just a day after US rapper Jay-Z – who is married to superstar Beyonce – gave his backing to the guys and said he thinks they can be the next N’Sync.

But they’ve been told that things won’t be easy in the US and they’ll need to keep their wits about them and work hard to make it work, according to a source.

The insider told The Sun: "Few British bands have made it over there, so management have told them not to expect overnight success.”

JLS are playing Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium on Sunday night (February 21). Are you going? STV are, so check back for our review of the boys, and let us know what you thought of the concert yourself using the comments facility.
