Kulusuk
Air Greenland welcomes you to Kulusuk
Kulusuk is the portal to East Greenland with flights from both Iceland and the west coast of Greenland. The flight approach is spectacular, with steep mountainsides and a view of the enormous masses of ice that slowly drift with the current along Greenland’s east coast.
Year-round experiences
The settlement of Kulusuk is situated a couple of kilometres from the airport and can be reached by foot quite quickly. On the way you will probably be impressed by the high, jagged mountain tops on all sides and the white icebergs that drift along slowly in the fjords. And the quietude. Kulusuk is a small, typical East Greenland settlement, where hunting and fishing have been the dominating ways to earn a living for generations. It is also a place that is used to welcoming guests – and you are also welcome!
In the summer you can take a boat trip in the fjord which is flanked on both sides by impressive cliffs and in the winter it’s all about dog-sledding. But the scenery in East Greenland is particularly appealing to those who love to walk and to those who are experienced walkers. There are plenty of challenges here!
