Pastiche du Potter:
Part VI: The Gleam

I won't go into a lot of detail about this one, since much has been said, and I don't know that I have anything of great significance to add. The gleam of triumph came when Dumbledore saw that Voldemort used Harry's blood to renew himself. How will this effect Harry's quest and Voldemort's probable downfall? Does it have to do with the blood charm activated with Lily's sacrifice? Will Harry's blood impart some of Harry's love to Voldemort and thaw some frozen humanity yet left within the Dark Lord? Or, will Voldemort find himself somehow unable to kill Harry? He was certainly able to torture Harry, but he could not possess him. Dumbledore says this has to do with Harry's heart, his capacity to love. The heart is the most central organ of the body, and pumps the blood to all the other organs. Even Voldemort must have the physical organ of a heart, since he is - sort of - human again. Will Harry's blood, pumping through Voldemort's heart over the past two years, have some effect on the Dark Lord's darkness? I truly do not know. Voldemort was, shockingly for me, completely absent from HBP. We never confronted him, with or without Harry. What was he up to for the past year while he sent Draco, Snape, Greyback and others about on his errands? Many of you keep writing to me about this, so I felt the need to respond. Alas, I fear my sleuthing here falls far short of your hopes! If I am awakened by a sudden dash of brilliance I will revisit this. Until then, advantage Jo. I am baffled.
