The Battle Of The Year is a platform for B-Boys and Hip Hop culture in general and an opportunity for all participants to express themselves in a peaceful and non-racist environment.

Battle of the Year 2010 Finals will be held in Montpellier - France for 2010.
After 20 years of Battle of the Year in Germany the organisation team decided to move the Battle of the Year to Montpellier-France this year. Date will be the november the 20th, location "The Arena" in Montpellier. The event will be a collaboration of the French BOTY partner "Association Attitude" and the BOTY International Headoffice Team/ Six Step GmbH from Germany.
Beside the big final event with all international B-Boy Crews the side programme "Change of Direction" will be continued and enlarged Planned again is to propose two Dance Theatre Nights, a 1 vs 1 Battle, the 2 vs 2 We B-Girlz Battle, Film Festival, Workshops and much more.
For the German organisation team the decision to leave Germany wasn ´ t easy to make. The German B-Boy scene and the constant audience is really important to the team. But after 20 years it is time for the Battle of the Year to move forward and to start something new This is also an opportunity to open up the BOTY to another audience and give more people the chance to be part of the event.
The Choice of France for the new location of the BOTY International 2010 and the decision to work with our French partner came naturally when the decision to make evolve the BOTY International location for 2010.
French Bboy and Hip Hop scene has always been one of the most active and innovative in the world. BOTY France organisation is celebrating his 10th years anniversary also in 2010 end developped an event that bring more than 10 000 spectators every year on the main event and the "Change Of Direction" program the week before.
Our BOTY France partner - Attitude , City of Montpellier and Languedoc-Roussillon Region also brought their 10th years experience in organisation of BOTY France, a convenient and adaptated location (The brand new Montpellier's Arena offers more than 10 000 seats ) and a support that will allow the event to evolve and propose an even more complete program in 2010.
The international BOTY qualifications as every year will start in April / May 2010.
The BOTY Team says thank you to the German B-Boy scene, all constant supporters and to the city of Braunschweig for giving the BOTY a home from 2001 to 2009!

Aprés 20 ans d'organisation en Allemagne, l'équipe du Battle of The Year International a décidé d'organiser en France à Montpellier la finale internationale 2010 de l'événement en collaboration avec le Battle Of the Year France.
Au delà de ce changement de pays de la Finale Internationale du BOTY, les qualifications organisées dans plus de 25 pays se développent encore et le programme "Change Of Direction" évoluera et se renforcera encore pour présenter comme l'an dernier le We Bgirlz International Battle 2Vs2, le Battle International 1Vs 1, le Festival de Danse Hip Hop en Création, un festival de Film ainsi que des ateliers et conférences la semaine précédent le BOTY International à Montpellier.
Pour les responsables du BOTY International en Allemagne cette décision et ses répercussions sur la scène Hip Hop Allemande a été éxaminée avec attention. Aprés 20 ans d'histoire en Allemagne et le développement d'un réseau International unique dans plus de 25 pays dans le monde (que nous n'imaginions même pas en rêves quand quelques Bboys passionnés décidaient il ya 20 ans de rassembler tous les passionnés de Hip Hop d'Europe), il était temps de passer encore à une autre étape pour le Battle Of the Year International.
Le choix de la France pour l'organisation 2010 et la décision de collaborer avec l'équipe du BOTY France c'est imposé naturellement une fois que la décision de faire évoluer le BOTY International 2010 a été prise.
La Scène Bboy et Hip Hop Française est l'une des plus actives et originales dans le monde. Le BOTY France a également développé depuis 10 ans un événement de qualité réunissant plus de 5000 spectateurs chaque année et proposant un Festival Hip Hop de qualité toute la semaine précédente.
Le BOTY France , La Ville de Montpellier et La Région Languedoc-Roussillon ont également apporté une expérience, des garanties des qualité d'organisation, un lieu (La Nouvelle Arena pouvant accueillir plus de 10000 spectateurs) et un soutien qui permettra l'organisation d'un événement d'encore meilleure qualité.
Pour les responsables du Battle Of The Year International, du Battle Of The Year France et l'ensemble des organisateurs de qualifications dans 25 pays à travers le monde, l'évolution de l'événement est une nouvelle opportunité de continuer à participer au développement de la culture Hip Hop.
Les qualifications nationales dans les 25 pays commenceront comme chaque année à partir d'Avril/Mai 2010.
L'équipe du BOTY International Team, du BOTY France, de l'ensemble des organisateurs tiennent à remercier l'ensemble de la Scène Bboy et Hip Hop Allemande pour son soutien sans faille depuis 20 ans ainsi que la Ville de Braunschweig qui a acceuilli le BOTY de 2001 à 2009.
L'équipe du BOTY Allemagne continue à organiser les qualifications du BOTY Allemagne 2010 ainsi que la Finale. Toute son équipe continuera également à oeuvrer pour le Hip Hop en Allemagne.
Nous vous donnons rendez-vous donc le 20 Novembre 2010 dans le Sud de la France à Montpellier pour la 21 éme édition du Battle Of the Year International.
