In Northern Saskatchewan from Saskatoon to Prince Albert, The Carlton Trail Railway (“CTR”) operates over 103.2 miles of the 279 miles CTR owned and operates former Canadian National (CN) track.

The CTR serves the forest products industry, moving pulp and paper, oriented strandboard and lumber from the Prince Albert area. The CTR also supports the grain and specialty crops industry from primary elevators, a pulse processing plant and by moving producer cars. Major customers include Meadow Lake Mechanical Sub, Belle Pulses, Meadow Lake OSB Ltd., Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, and Pioneer Grain.
