What did you do on November 9th 1989? Do you remember? I was thirteen years old and sleeping snugly in my bed in Bremen, Northern Germany, West Germany, when my parents woke my younger sister and me up and allowed us to sit down in front of the television in the living room. This felt like Revolution (with a big R) in our children’s world: Usually, we were neither allowed to watch TV nor to stay up late, except on New Year’s Eve.
