Nicholas Brendon has been charged with four misdemeanors in connection with an incident last month in which he tried to fight of police. The former "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" star was charged with one count resisting arrest, two counts of battery against a police officer and one count of vandalism.
TMZ reports that Nicholas could face up to two years in jail and a $4,000 fine if convicted on the charges. He is due back in court on April 7 for his arraignment.
In March, Brendan, who played Xander on the vampire series, was arrested in Venice, CA after authorities got a call that an intoxicated individual was causing a commotion. At the time it was reported that Nicholas swung at cops and then tried to run away from authorities. He was then tased twice before he was taken to a hospital. Later, he was booked on felony vandalism charges for causing some damage in the brouhaha.
Since "Buffy" ended in 2003, he has worked steadily, done the rounds and guest-starred on several TV shows, including Hollywood Crush favorite, "Criminal Minds." He also had a role in the under-appreciated TV flick, "Celeste in the City." Additionally, he was seen on the short-lived show, "Kitchen Confidential." He's also got two projects supposedly set for release this year, "The Portal" and "Sweet Lorriane."
